• Spoilt girl!

So life is chugging along nicely. Training has been going very well and I’ve just enjoyed my biggest, hardest block ever and have come out the other side unscathed but with lots of good stuff banked. It’s just over a month until my first ‘race’ which will be a warm up race in Portugal (European Cup), after a hard training camp in Spain. I’m really looking forward to hitting the road again racing. Winter brings its own positives – getting to spend lots of time at home clocking up winter mileage and into such a routine – eat, sleep, train - that the weeks seem to fly by. However, before I know it, it will be race season and non stop craziness racing, training and travelling through the summer until October – doing what I love!

I’ve unveiled my provisional calendar for 2013 – more details can be found on my calendar link.

My big news however for this blog is my new bike. Bikelab Richmond are kindly sponsoring me this season. They have provided me with quite a machine - a Scott Foil with some seriously fast FFWD racing wheels. The total bike with everything on it weighs in at 7kg – just over the legal limit. She is gonna be fast!!!

I had a chance to try her out last weekend in a local F3 Duathlon at Dorney Lake. I hadn’t ridden her at all until the race and was so impressed by the handling and how light she was. My position wasn’t correct at all during the duathlon but that has now been tweaked and she is flying!

Bikelab will also be supporting me with maintenance once again this season and I really look forward to working with them, keeping the Scott in tip top condition throughout the season. If you are looking for a friendly, professional and well stocked bike shop in south west London, they are worth a visit. See www.bikelabrichmond.co.uk for more detail.

Bikelab is a Scott supplier and I’m pleased that Scott have also come onboard to supply me with kit, shoes and helmets. I am indeed a very lucky girl!
